An Introduction to the New Testament

Rooted in the Catholic Bible and guided by the Church's teaching tradition, this course provides a clear and engaging overview of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as the birth and mission of the early Church.

Students will examine the historical, literary, and theological context of each book, gaining an understanding of its author, audience, purpose, and key themes. Special attention is given to the four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Pauline and Catholic Epistles, and the Book of Revelation, highlighting how these inspired writings proclaim the Good News of salvation and reveal God's plan for humanity.

The course also introduces essential principles of Catholic biblical interpretation, helping students read Scripture within the living Tradition of the Church.
